Wild Card Wednesday: Eloquii Petites

It's no secret that I am one of Eloquii's biggest fans, and I was super excited when this amazing plus size company launched a petite capsule collection a few months ago.
Coat: c/o Eloquii (Available here)
Purse:  Betsey Johnson (gift)
Glasses:  Valentino
Dress:  Forever 21+
I have several of the petite pieces, and the fit is great.  In fact, the coat I am wearing here required no alterations at all!  The sleeves are just a tad too long, but that doesn't bother me as it adds a little extra warmth for my hands when the weather is cold.
The coat has a removable capelet that is totally adorable.  It's like getting two coats in one!!!
Clutch:  ASOS
Earrings:  Eva Mendes for NY&CO
Pants:  The Limited (Available here)
Shoes:  Anne Michelle
At only 4'9", a few of the pieces still require some alterations.  I had the sleeves shortened on this peplum blazer, and had the button moved about half an inch to get a more fitted look.  I love how well this jacket fits in the shoulders, and the length is perfect - two issues that I inevitably have with non-petite styles.
Jacket:  Eloquii (Available here)
I wanted to show this blazer styled in two different ways.  The pants look is what I wore on Election Day.  I wore a pants suit while I cast my vote with my daughter in tow.  Despite the outcome of the election, it was a powerful moment to share with my little girl.

I love a great streamlined look, and this jacket paired with skinny pants creates a nice silhouette.

Top:  ASOS
Ring:  Purchased at local jewelry show
Clutch:  ALDO
This tiered tulle dress is from Eloquii as well; however, it is not available in petites.  Thankfully, it was a super easy fix.  The dress originally had three tiers, so I had the bottom tier removed and the sleeves shortened, and now the fit is great.
Dress:  Eloquii (Available here)
To make this dress suitable for the office, I added the peplum blazer.  I like how the peplum works with the tiers on the dress.
Brooch:  NY&CO (old)
For a holiday party, I would lose the blazer and add some sparkles with a brooch and embellished booties.
Boots:  FarylRobin Fawcett (Available at Target in brown/burgundy here)
Have you tried Eloquii Petites?  What do you think about the fit?

Manic Monday: Militaristic Minimalism

Happy Monday, everyone!!!  I've been so deep in holiday mode (including holiday fashion) that I forget that sometimes all you need to look pulled together is a great blazer and pair of pants.
Blazer:  ELOQUII (Available here)
For today's Manic Monday post, I went with my favorite monochromatic color palette.  A black camisole and pants creates a streamlined look that is perfect for showcasing a blazer.  This ivory military blazer from Eloquii is everything!!
Pants:  Who What Wear x Target
While the pants are basic black, the slightly cropped length and self-belt gives these a little extra flair.
Camisole:  LOFT Petites
I kept accessories simple with a clear crystal quartz necklace and a graphic clutch.
Clutch:  Who What Wear x Target (Available here)Necklace:  Rack+Clutch Mobile Boutique (St. Louis area)
Heels:  New Look Wide Fit
This look is so, so comfortable and feels amazing.  In fact, even though I rarely repeat outfits (I usually change things up at least slightly), I have already worn this exact outfit to work twice in the last two weeks.  Militaristic Minimalism for the win!!

Winter Trends: Fur

On each Thursday for the rest of December, fellow petite plus blogger Irene of Petite Plus, Meow! and I will be sharing our takes on some key winter/holiday trends.  Today, we are starting with one of my favorite fabrics - fur - only faux, of course!
Jacket:  Eloquii (Available in blush pink here)
While it is typically a fall and winter staple, faux fur returned big last year, and the momentum hasn't stopped.  This year, statement furs were a huge hit on runways, so I decided to try out my long-haired black fur jacket in a party look that would be great for New Years' Eve or a holiday party with friends.
Dress:  Eloquii (Available here)
I paired my fur jacket with a faux leather bustier dress and glittery heels.  I love the mix of textures in an all-black look.

For a little added shine, I finished the look with gold dangly earrings and a gold beaded velvet clutch.
Earrings:  Eloquii
Ring:  LOFT
I love that this look is kind of quiet due to the color palette but that it still makes a statement.

While my faux fur took center stage, Irene's fur collar adds a more subtle wintry touch to a pretty purple bodycon dress.  Her booties keep the look a little more informal and perfect for keeping tootsies warm in the dipping temperatures.  Her look would be great for an office holiday party or for sipping on some nog at a happy hour.

Are you a fan of wearing faux fur?  How will you be rocking it this season?

Manic Monday: Suited for the Office Holiday Party

With the holiday season in full swing, I have been thinking about what I would like to wear to my upcoming office holiday party.  My office's party is during the day after spending the morning working in the office.
Pants:  Who What Wear for Target (Available here)
So, whatever I wear for the party has to be office-appropriate.  I look for something that can work for the daytime hours but that is still elevated from my typical workplace attire.

One option I'm considering for this year's party is a suit in a more festive or evening fabric.
Camisole:  Who What Wear for Target (Available here)
Earrings:  The Limited
Blazer:  Eloquii (Available here)
The first look is a velvet suit option that I pulled together with options from Who What Wear for Target and Eloquii.  I paired wide leg velvet pants and a velvet camisole with a velvet blazer.  Even though the pants and blazer are from different shops, the blacks and velvets match perfectly.  Both pieces are super soft, and the elastic-waist pants are like wearing pajamas to work!
Clutch:  The Limited
Blazer:  Eloquii (Available here)
Another option is to pair a classic tuxedo blazer with faux leather pants and a pretty blouse.  The sheer embroidered fabric on the neckline of the blouse feels special while the black glittery heels add a subtle fancy touch.
Pants:  Who What Wear for Target
Blouse:  Torrid
I'm not sure if either of these looks will make the cut for my office party, but they're definitely in the running.

Bracelet:  LOFT
Glasses:  Valentino
Glasses:  Coach
Earrings:  Eva Mendes for NY&CO
Do you have a workplace holiday party to attend?  Is it daytime or evening, and what do you plan to wear?
