Tickled Pink: Romance and Tulle

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
Skirt:  eShakti (Sold out on-line; Similar here)
Today, I'm continuing my salute to pink with this bubblegum pink tulle skirt.  Mixed with taupe, soft gold, and beige, the girly pink takes a more sophisticated turn.
POCKETS!!!!
Rose tank:  The Limited (Available here)
Cami:  Wet Seal
Jacket:  The Limited
It's no secret I'm a big fan of tulle skirts, so when I saw this skirt recently, I couldn't resist.

I'm planning on some ways to wear this a little more casually, but for today's look, I kept the look a little dressier.
Booties:  Target (Available here)
Ear cuff set:  Forever 21 (Available here)
Bracelets:  Express, The Limited, World Market
Clutch:  New York & Company
The ankle booties keep the look from being too delicate.  With these chunkier heels, the outfit could work for some day functions, as well as evening events.
Where would you wear a tulle skirt?

P.S.  eShakti was kind enough to provide an exclusive promo code for you, my dear readers!  Use code 'stylecases' to save 10% off your order. This code can be combined with most other codes and offers, and it can be re-used as often as you want now through 5/11/2014.

Spring Fever!

Today's pics are of an outfit I wore earlier this week. I wore this digital lace print tee I recently nabbed at an amazing clearance sale at The Limited and my bright pink blazer from last spring.

Blazer:  The Limited (old)
Pants:  The Limited (Similar here)
The back of the top has a hot pink stripe down the back which gives it an unexpected surprise.
Blouse:  The Limited (Available here)
Purse:  The Limited
Shoes:  Target (old)

I love how this look is warm but still has a spring feel.  I have spring on the brain in a major way, so this week, I am very influenced by the bright, cheerful colors symbolizing the re-birth that comes with spring.

The black pants, shoes, and accessories ground the look and keeps the look from feeling too springy.  I couldn't help but add my new crystal earrings from the Prabal Gurung collection for Target.  I am in love with these!!!

Cuff:  New York & Company (old)
The pink color near one's face helps brighten the face and for me, faked a healthy glow as I was sick with yet ANOTHER virus as I was taking these pics.

I'm still sick, so no Valentine's Day plans or fashion for me today. :-(

Hope you all have a wonderful and HEALTHY Valentine's Day!!!!

Color is always popular on Spring runways, and this spring is no exception.

Emerald is the color of the year, but spring's major color trends include all of the following:

I'm particularly loving the primary shades of poppy, lemon, and blue.

One of the big color trends for spring was a monochromatic color statement:

I don't see myself in quite so much of one color, but I would definitely rock a dress with a matching jacket such as the look below.

I'm in LOVE with this seafoam green look from Donna Karan!  I love the soft muted color and the floaty feel.
