Spearmint and Orange

Hope you're all having a great Saturday!

Blouse:  LOFT (Available here)
Jacket:  LOFT Petites (Available here)
Today, I feature a recent work outfit.  I paired an orange-tipped blouse with a spearmint green blazer and navy skinny pants.
Pants:  The Limited (Available here)
Shoes:  Target (Available here)
Necklace:  The Limited (Available here)
Earrings:  The Limited (Available here)

I love the mix of green and orange.  The navy pants keep the look subtle enough for work, while being a softer choice than black.

A straw bag with orange trim and a fun alligator ring finish the look (close-up of ring here).

Purse:  The Limited (Available here)

Ring:  Target (Similar here)

Zesty Lemon and Lace

I love unexpected pieces that pop into my life.
Pants:  The Limited (Sold out in navy on-line; Available in black here)
Lace tunic:  Forever 21+ (Available  here)
I was very excited to find this lace top from Forever 21+  It's long enough to wear as a dress (once I find a suitable lining), but I also love it over skinny pants.
Jacket:  The Limited (Available here)
Tank:  Target (Available in other colors )
Remember how I said that petite girls have to be careful not to go too long with tops?  Tops that hit mid to upper-thigh are a no-no (unless you really love them, and then, do whatever you want!).  I think a knee-length top like is a different story.  It works here because the pants are kept narrow.
I threw on my lemon yellow faux leather jacket and added a clutch, and I was good to go!

Metallics and Lace

Happy Thursday, everyone!
Pants:  The Limited (Sold out in navy; Available in other colors here)
Blouse:  The Limited (Available here)
Today, I decided to wear my new gold jacket.  I love that this jacket is super lightweight but looks like leather and suede.
Jacket:  The Limited (Similar here)
Purse:  The Limited
Shoes:  Target (Available in other colors here)
Bracelets:  The Limited; Target
I paired the jacket with a matching beige lace and gauze top and navy pants to keep the metallic subdued enough for work.

I love mixing neutrals in interesting shapes and textures.  The bold green pendant adds just the right amount of color.
Necklace:  Forever 21
"Evil Eye" ring:  H&M

Chiffon & Velvet

Hi everyone!
We've been having great weather the last few days, but today the temperature started to drop again.  When I left for work this morning, I skipped the scarf, but added it for the much cooler ride home.
Blazer:  New York & Company
Pants:  The Limited (Similar here)
Scarf:  New York & Company (Similar here)Purse: The Limited (Similar here)
Heels:  Target (Available here)
I plan on getting this top hemmed as it's a bit too long (story of my life!).  I like that the ivory fabric and sheer chiffon neckline adds a bit of lightness to the overall look.
Blouse:  The Limited (Available here)
Earrings:  The Limited
Ring:  H&M

How's the weather where you live?  How do you adjust your wardrobe to the changing temps?

Fun with Geometrics

Hope you all had a great day!

Today, I'm pairing a fun geometric print top with neutral work pieces.  The navy and ivory color palette is a softer take on the classic black and white, but provides the same graphic contrast.

Blouse:  The Limited (Currently sold out on-line; Available in stores)
Pants:  The Limited (Available here)
Blazer:  The Limited
Heels:  Target (Available here)
I paired the look with gold jewelry and a red clutch for a pop of color.
Clutch: Vintage
Bracelets:  World Market, The Limited
Lately, I've been really into the idea of mixing patterns and textures.  The mix on this look is subtle (herringbone blazer with the printed top), but I'm planning on mixing prints in the same color palette often this spring.  It's a fun way to add visual interest to a look.

Necklace:  The Limited
Earrings:  The Limited
