Perfectly Polished

I love wearing a variety of looks, but nothing makes me feel more professional than a simple polished look that feels modern while being very classic.
Trench:  c/o eShakti (Available in green here or black here)
Skinny black pants and a khaki trench are wardrobe basics in many professional wardrobes.  Adding in a simple striped tank and peep-toe wedges gives this outfit an easy sophistication that I really love.
Pants:  The Limited
Tank:  The Limited (Available here)
Anchor earrings:  gift
Wedges:  Target (Similar here)
Always wanting to add in personal touches to work basics, I chose a stack of gold bracelets and an hourglass pendant.  I tied a polka dot scarf to a perforated tote to add a touch of print mixing to this monochromatic look.
Bracelets:  New York & Company, The Limited, Target
Tote:  New York & Company (Available here)
Scarf:  The Limited

Sun and Sky

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great day!  Things are pretty frenzied at work right now, so I'm doing my best to squeeze in new blog posts.

Pants:  The Limited (Sold out in blue; Available in navy and black here)
Blouse:  The Limited (Available here)
Today's featured look is inspired by the summer sky and sun.

I paired blue pants with an off-white blouse and white blazer.  I added a yellow clutch for a pop of sunny color.

Blazer:  The Limited (old)
Shoes:  Target (old)
Clutch:  The Limited (Available here)
Necklace:  The Limited (Available here)
I added grey heels and silver and blue jewelry to finish off the look.

I love simple, streamlined looks like this for work during the summer.  The pieces are easy and comfortable, the colors light and airy.

Bracelets:  Target and The Limited
How do you make your work wardrobe more summer friendly?

Feelin' Lacy

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Today, I wore this great ivory lace top with faux leather Peter Pan collar for a sweet leather and lace look.

Pants:  The Limited (Available here)
Lace blouse:  Forever 21+ (Available here)
Clutch:  Target (Available in stores)
Lace can definitely be acceptable at work, but it's important to make sure that you aren't exposing anything. A full coverage tank is a must, and bra straps must be covered.

I wore the ballet flats to work for comfort, but these bow heels would be great for after-dinner drinks or a girls-night-out.
Cardigan:  LOFT Petites (Similar here)
Tank:  Old Navy Petites (Similar here)
Ballet flats:  Target
Shoes: eBay (Available here)
Bracelets:   Target (old)
Moonstone earrings:  Purchased at local jewelry show
Would you wear lace to work?
