The White Shift Blouse

One of the big trends of spring 2014 is the shift blouse.  The boxier silhouette is great with fitted bottoms like these cropped jeans, but it will also coordinate well with fitted or A-line skirts.  I'm looking forward to wearing this top with a matching mini-skirt.

Quilting details make the white top a little more interesting.  I love that this top feels like your basic t-shirt, but that it has a sophistication that elevates the overall look - making it perfect for the most recent casual Friday at work.

Are you a fan of the shift blouse?

  3. I really like this blouse and I love the quilting detail on it but I don't know if I could pull off the fit of the boxier fit of it. I might have to go to target and try it on because I do love how the top looks and I think you paired it great with the jeans!

  5. Thanks Psyche! It's labworks from Target - available on-line. I have the matching skirt too, which I'm looking forward to wearing soon. :-)

  6. I think it's on-line only - it's their labworks brand. The top does have a bit of a boxy fit. I actually prefer it on myself with the sleeves rolled up a bit, so I may get them shortened. It is not the most flattering piece of clothing I own, but I was intrigued by the idea of trying something a bit different this spring.

  7. That top looks great on you and I'm loving the cuffed jeans. They elongate your legs.

  8. Thanks Yasmin! I didn't really think these jeans would be flattering. I just wanted something different, but I think with the booties especially, they really work! :-)
