Wedged Between...

I can't decide how I feel about today's outfit.  I like each piece individually, but I'm not sure how well all of the pieces blend together as a cohesive look.
Skirt:  Torrid (old)
Blazer:  New York & Company (Similar here)

Maybe it's me, but the outfit seems a little disjointed?  The top and blazer say business, but the skirt and boots say casual.  The boots say fall, but the blouse and skirt in this particular outfit read a little more summer to me.
Tank:  Old Navy Petites (Similar here)
Blouse:  The Limited (Available here)
Boots:  Target (Similar here)
Clutch:  Target

Any one of these pieces could work in any season.  Any one of these pieces could go casual.  Somehow, together, the individual pieces seem a little mis-matched.

What do you think?

Casual Comfort

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Today, I had a ton of errands to run.  I wanted a look that was super comfortable and warm.

Tunic blouse:  Target (Available here)
Cardigan:  The Limited (old) (Similar here)
Leggings:  Wal-Mart (Similar here)
Purse: The Limited (old)
I opted for leggings and a cashmere cardigan and then added in a tunic length top and wedge boots for a look that felt very pulled together but completely comfortable and cozy.
Boots:  Target (Available here)
Earrings:  Forever 21 (old)
Tank:  Old Navy (Available here)
Turquoise ring:  Purchased at local jewelry show
Leggings, sweaters, and boots are a common winter weekend go-to for me.  Do you have a favorite winter weekend look?

Color Pop!

Happy Sunday everybody!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Today, I went out to lunch with my mother and then ran some errands.  I opted for a neon yellow sweater and paired it with my black lace skirt.  Then I added opaque black tights and black wedge boots to give me both height and comfort.
Sweater:  The Limited (Available here)
Skirt:  Torrid (Available here)

Purse:  New York & Company (Similar here)
Even though this color can be hard to wear (it's not a super flattering shade for most skin tones), there's something about how this bright citrine yellow pops, especially with black, that makes me seek it out.
Tights:  Torrid (Available here)
Boots:  Target (Available here)
I'm especially looking forward to wearing this sweater in winter.  When I'm feeling a case of the winter blahs, wearing bright colors makes me feel a little better!

 Would you wear neon yellow?

Weekend Boho

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I had some errands to run, and then went to a casual family dinner.  This is what I wore:
Dress: Target Petites (Available:  here)
Necklace:  Target
I love the relaxed, laid-back vibe of a maxidress.  I particularly love the floatiness of this one and that it has an elastic waist to create more shape.
I am super ready for fall and hurricane-induced rains have dropped the temperature a bit, so I decided to style this look with my denim jacket and new wedge heel boots.
Denim jacket: The Limited (Similar:  here and here)
Target wedge bootie
I don't always love the look of wedge heels, but I liked the simplicity and slight ruggedness of these boots.  The wedge heel also makes them ultra-comfortable.  Bonus: unlike a stiletto or stacked heeled boot, I can wear these boots when there's snow out too!

Today, I also played around with red lipstick.  I love the look of celebrities like Taylor Swift and Gwen Stefani who rock a red lip, but I have yet to find a red lipstick that I feel suits me.
Do you like red lipstick?  Any tips on finding the perfect shade without spending a fortune trying 100 different shades?
