Brights and Leopard

Happy Hump Day, everyone!
Jumpsuit:  Torrid (Available here)
It's actually hard to believe the work week is more than half over!   Today is my birthday, so that automatically makes it a good day!  :-)

I'll be sharing my birthday look on the blog soon, but today, I'm posting yesterday's work look.

Blazer:  New York & Company
Heels:  Target (Similar here)
I've been wearing so many neutrals and muted colors lately that I thought the blog was due up for something a little more bold.

For work yesterday, I fashioned my jumpsuit for work by adding the blue blazer, leopard pumps, and a cami for added coverage for the office.  The cami also helped keep me warm with the virtual undressing that took place with every use of the facilities.  ;-)
Belt:  Torrid (Available here)
Bag:  Express
To add a little more flair, I went with gold accessories and a bright orange lip.
Necklace:  The Limited
Would you wear a jumpsuit to work?

Color and Confidence: BLUE

Rainbow Week continues with...you guessed it, BLUE!!
Dress:  The Limited (Available here)
Blazer:  New York & Company (Similar here)
I'm combining blue and indigo here and will feature looks across the blue spectrum, from aqua to navy.

Today's look includes my favorite shade of blue - cobalt!
Booties:  Target (Available here)
I recently picked up this dress from The Limited after being intrigued by the mosaic print.  It reminded me of floral fireworks (if there were such a thing), which I thought was perfect for the 4th of July!!
Tote:  The Limited (Similar here)
I added the blue blazer to further bring out the blue in the dress and added a red belt and tote for a fun patriotic work look.
Bracelets (left to right):  Target, LOFT, Target, The Limited
Belt:  The Limited (Similar here)
I didn't realize how much blue I wore until I was looking through old blog posts.  There are just so many great shades of blue, that it's easy to find a shade or two that you like.  Here are some previous blue outfits for inspiration:

Mix various shades of blue for a nuanced color effect that doesn't feel too over-the-top:

Foulard and Gold Details
Printed Shorts in Redbook!!!
Spring Romance
Pair blue with white jackets and other non-black neutrals for spring/summer looks:
Blue & Neutrals
Crazy for Cobalt
Teal blues are perfect for fall!  Bonus?  This color looks amazing on almost all skin tones!!
Teal and Brocade
These Boots Were Made For Walkin'
Mix blue in a little or a lot with printed dresses:
One Dress, Two Ways
Laid-Back Sexy (Free the Tatas!!)
Pale blues like aqua and ice blue are a soft way to work blue into your wardrobe:
Shadow Florals and a Do-Over Look
Pastels and Lace
Navy is the perfect year-round neutral and a subtle way to add blue into your wardrobe.
Singin' The Blues:  Attention!
Are you a fan of wearing blue?  I think when it comes to color, it is the easiest and most fool-proof way to go.  It mixes well with other colors and looks fab with any neutral.

Get Graphic

Happy Saturday, everyone!
Skirt:  Peter Pilotto for Target
It's been downright chilly in my parts this week, so today, I'm featuring a recent work look from warmer temperatures.
Camisole:  LOFT (Similar here)
Blazer:  New York & Company
The graphic Peter Pilotto for Target skirt was made work-ready with a black camisole and royal blue blazer.
Tote:  Ruben & Isabel Toledo for Lane Bryant
I love the bold pop of color against the black and white skirt.

This skirt is a tad shorter than I usually prefer to wear to work, but I think it worked.

Heels:  Target (old)
Simple, but bold silver jewelry completed the look.
Ring:  Earthbound Trading Company
Cuff:  The Limited
Earrings:  Target
Would you wear bold patterns to the office?

Into The Blue

Tonight, I'm bringing you my work look from yesterday.
Pants:  The Limited (Sold out on-line; Similar here and here)
I'm a huge fan of cobalt blue, and I especially love this color paired with white - it feels so fresh and crisp.  This combination also  reminds me a lot of both blue willow china and Moroccan tiles, which I've always loved.
Blazer:  The Limited (Similar here)
Blouse:  The Limited

I decided to play around with the multiple blue tones in the scarf by adding a navy top and heels to the cobalt pants.

Scarf:  The Limited (Sold out on-line; Similar here)

Mixed bracelets help tie the look together.

Singin' the Blues: Casual Rock-n-Roll

Singin' the Blues Week continues with a denim and cobalt blue faux leather look.
Jeans:  Torrid (Available here)
Tee:  Torrid (Available here)

I added my Blondie tee to my Stiletto skinny jeans from Torrid for a comfy casual look with a cool rock-n-roll vibe.

I recently picked up these jeans with the 26" inseam.  When I originally bought this style of jeans, they didn't carry the short length.  I couldn't hem the jeans because of the zippers, so I was trying to make do.  I finally broke down and nabbed this pair - the length works much better!

Jacket:  Forenza by The Limited (Similar here)
Ring:  The Limited
Clutch:  The Limited (Available here)
The cobalt moto jacket adds a fun pop of color to this laid back look.
Boots:  Payless (old)
Are you a fan of moto jackets?  Have you tried the Stiletto skinny jeans from Torrid?

Dress Week: Red, White, and Blue

Hi everyone!

After featuring several evening looks, Dress Week continues today with a recent work outfit.
Dress:  New York & Company (old)
Blazer:  The Limited (old)
Earrings:  New York & Company (old)
Belt:  The Limited (old)
I had been trying to come up with a fresh way to wear this cobalt dress.  Since it's summer, I thought a lightweight white blazer would look crisp and be cool.
Heels:  Target (old)
Red really pops against cobalt, and together, I wound up with a red, white, and blue combo perfect for July!
Bangle:  The Limited (old)
Do you like wearing red, white, and blue?
