Sweet Romance

The first time I styled my polka dot dress from eShakti for the blog, I wanted to create a womanly, slightly edgy feel.  Today, I decided to play up the sweetness of this dress.
Dress:  eShakti (Available here)
Bow accents on the bag, sandals, and bracelet add to the sweet romantic feel of this vintage-inspired silhouette.
Purse:  The Limited
Bracelets:  The LImited
Love the vintage-inspired feel - and my daughter makes a cameo :-)
I haven't had a chance to wear this dress out yet, but I would definitely wear this look as is for a daytime summer date.

Sandals:  Payless (old)
The low-heeled sandals are comfortable and perfect for a casual stroll.
Earrings:  The Limited
What would you wear for a daytime date with your boo?

For this dress in another look, see here.

  1. I love how all the details pull together on this outfit!
For me, warm weather is ALL about skorts. I have many that I've collected over the years! I find skorts comfortable (especially when wrangling kids), yet I look like I put some effort in, even if I just throw a V-neck t-shirt on my top half. I've had a few hot days here in the Pacific NW and had a chance to wear my skorts for the first time this year. I have very touchy feet, so the shoes I can wear are limited, but I just got a pair of shiny silver Birkenstocks to brighten up my skort outfits (see photo).

  4. The touches of blue are lovely. I usually love colors like sapphire blue. The sky blue accent is lovely for your dress. Very nice outfit and exceptional style. I appreciate the blue colors as someone whose favorite color is blue.

  5. I'll hand you credit for going with this nice array of light colors. White jeans certainly have their own unique allure, and I think you demonstrated this quite well with this outfit. This is very much a fun warm weather outfit.

  6. Normally, I'm not really into oxford shoes or brogues. I find this to be a pretty nice combination. Not entirely in love, but it is a very good outfit.

  10. Thank you! I'll probably lose the jacket and add some flat sandals when it gets hot!

  11. Thanks John! I'm trying something new with the oxfords. I wasn't quite sure if they were me, but I'm liking them!

  12. I haven't worn a skort in a looooong time, but I think they can be great for giving you a put-together look that still has the ease of shorts. I'm still getting over my distate and phobia of shorts, so skorts are actually a good alternative!

Love the Birkenstocks! Big fan of metallic shoes, and I was actually debating a "fancy" pair of Birks as a warm weather casual shoe.

  13. I'm glad it wasn't just me that thought this. I was wondering if my attempts at re-styling would seem too close to the original. I really feel like it has such a different vibe! I love accessories for this reason - they make my closet feel larger than it is!

  15. This is really cute and sweet the way you styled the dress this time and I really like it. I love the accessories for this one with the bow bag and the open toed sandals with the dress. I love wearing dresses during the daytime because they make feel very girly! hehe :)

  16. Omg love the brogues, I've always been a fan of brogues and oxfords I like how they can add a little masculine feel to a girly outfit. That's the way I like to wear them with skirts and dresses. But yeah I love the cool casual outfit, I'm such a dress girl that I usually wear dresses on warm casual weekends.

  17. I am still trying to be brave enough to wear an all white outfit, it's actually one of our upcoming themes for the group I'm in and I'm really horrified to wear all white especially since im a klutz. But I really do love the look of all white and I like the way you did here. I love the pop of yellow and the citrus theme that you did with the clutch and the pineapple print on the top.

  20. Thank you! I believe eShakti ships internationally. Their return center is in Washington state; however, the company is based out of India, I believe.

  21. You can do it!!! :-D
I'm just really careful about what I eat when I'm wearing all white. I try to avoid red sauces and things like that!

  22. I felt like brogues were too tomboyish for me, but I really like this pair. I wore them to work for casual Friday yesterday with a dress, and I liked that look too.
