Running to the Office

Happy Hump Day!!!  Hope your week has been fabulous so far!
Pants:  Ann Taylor Petites
Yesterday was rainy and chilly, so I opted for my tuxedo stripe trousers.  The stripe on the side gives these pants an athletic feel, especially when paired with the bright red blouse.
Blouse:  Target Petites
I love the relaxed feeling of this outfit.  I feel like it looks polished enough for the office, but the boldly colored blouse and easy trousers lend this look a sporty, casual vibe.
Boots:  Target (Available here)
Satchel:  Target (Similar here)
The ivory side stripe on the pants echoes the color blocking on the bag for a pulled-together look.  Gold jewelry with black and ivory stones complete the look.
Necklace:  The Limited
Earrings:  The Limited
Bracelet:  LOFT (Available here)
Do you like athletic or sporty touches added to more formal clothing?

  3. Very cool outfit. You show some very cool and fun style here. I really like that dress, and I also like the handbag and scarf. I don't really like oxford shoes or brogues, and not sure about wearing those with this dress. I do like the combination, though. Well-styled yet again.

  4. The first thing I thought about when I saw those pants was if you were competing in some marathon at your office or something. Then again, chic peep-toe booties don't exactly make proper running shoes. This outfit provides chic synergy between sporty and classy. You styled this one pretty well, Cassandra. Well done, and much love from Texas! :)

  5. Love it! Would you know if the blouse is still available? I didn't see anything like it on the Target web site. Thanks!

  6. Thanks Carla! This blouse is older, but they have a few similar blouses. This one is very similar: http://www.target.com/p/mossimo-womens-popover-blouse-assorted-solids/-/A-15028534#prodSlot=large_2_11

This one doesn't come in the punchy shade, but it has a similar cut and feel.

  7. Thanks John! I'm trying to get out of my own style box a bit - wearing the brogues with this dress is kind of a new concept for me too!

  8. I'm not sure how I feel about sporty touches on formal clothing but I think you were able to pull it off well. I have similar pants but the stripe is much more thicker on the side but have never worn them because I haven't had an occasion to wear them. I'm inspired to wear mine but maybe when the weather here isn't too hot. :)

  9. Oh wow I thought this was black and white too but the way that you styled it today you can see the blue showing a little bit more then before, I think it might be the lighter accessories or the fact that you said it was blue that it looks more blue. hehe But yeah I love the casual way you styled it with the scarf and the brogues.

  10. It's chilly here, so I was actually wishing I wore a jacket with this outfit! This weather is not cool!
