Tea-length skirts are the big hemline trend this season, but I wasn't sure if this hem length would work for me at 4'9." I decided to give this trend a try with a two-piece set from eShakti that I previously featured on the blog here.

Tea-length skirts can make petite girls look shorter. While I don't really mind looking short, I do find an elongating look to be more flattering. To this end, I opted for an all-black look. The solid color block from head to toe keeps the look more streamlined. The cropped jacket help balance the proportions of the fuller long skirt.

Would you wear a tea-length skirt?
For the blazer in another look, see here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.
OMG, you're shorter than me!!! I'm about 5'2 if I stand up really straight and suck it in. LOL I think you nailed the look in black. I doubt I would do it in mixed prints or other colors. Like you, I think maxi or mini looks best on short legs. My problem is I have a long body and short legs so I need most things altered. I think this look would look fantastic with that skirt shortened, too! ;)
ReplyDeleteNice all-black look with the bold red handbag for diversion. I dig the blazer and the skirt, and the same applies for those peep-toe booties. Classic Cassandra charm.

I really like the look of the tea length but like you I'm not sure if it will go with my height but I like stepping out of my comfort zone too so I'm thinking I might have to try it before I say that I wouldn't wear it. But I definitely think heels help make the look more elongated and the blazer being shorter length helps too. But I think the outfit suits you well and it gives me hope that a tea length skirt might work for me too. :)

I'm not a big fan of prints in general but I've been seeing fruit prints that are smaller and all over so it's kind of like polka dots but fruit and I'm kind of liking it. But yeah this outfit is so cute and fun, I love the colors and it's very summery.
ReplyDeleteI tend to go for mostly solids too, but I thought this tank was cute. While it has a print, the fact it's just one central pineapple made me really like it!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so nice!!! Hope you enjoy, and congratulations!!!
