Road Trip, Part 2

For the second half of or honeymoon road trip, we were in downtown Chicago.

We had planned our wedding/ time off around a conference the hubby was attending, so during the day, I shopped and hung out in the hotel room chillin' like a villain.  It was so nice just to catch up on sleep, ha, ha!

During the evenings, we spent a lot of time walking around, exploring.  We enjoyed some yummy deep dish pizza at Giordano's and walked to Navy Pier, enjoying the sights and sounds.

On Saturday, the man was back at the conference, but he met me for brunch and we walked over to David Burke's Primehouse.  I kept it casual with shorts, a crop top, cardigan, and my new super comfortable booties!  They have memory foam, and it's like walking on a cloud!

Later that evening, we had dinner at Sayat Nova - a lovely Armenian restaurant near our hotel.  I'm part Armenian, but I've never had the chance to eat at an Armenian restaurant, so I was excited to find this little treasure.  The pomegranate sangria was good, but the hummus and tabouleh were simply divine!!

The hubby absolutely HATES selfies and doesn't like having his picture taken either, so every almost picture we got together on the trip was of us being silly because he couldn't stop making faces or laughing.
Skirt:  New York & Company
Top:  Eloquii

After dinner, we walked around the city more, people watching, stopping to look in the shops on the Magnificent Mile, and enjoying a romantic stroll on our last night in Chicago.  We ended the night, curled up watching the original Ghostbusters cuz that's what old married people do.  ;-)

We hope to have a less work-related honeymoon trip sometime in the future, but it really was so lovely to get away and have some alone time!

P.S.  I tried to snap some better pictures of my jumpsuit look from my previous post.  These still aren't the greatest, but they were a little clearer.  Back to regular camera pics with the next post!
